It’s finally here. The Great Yorkshire Vegan Festival 2015 is almost upon us and I’m so excited to pop my vegan cherry that I bought a new outfit just for the occasion.
This will be my first ever vegan festival and I’m planning to shop, shop, shop and stuff my face hole with as many vegan goodies as I can get my greedy little hands on. I’d be lying if I said I’m not a wee bit tempted to sit in a corner with my head in my VIP goody bag, rummaging in a most undignified fashion.
When I do manage to focus my attention I’m especially looking forward to Hansa Dhabis workshop on vegan summer BBQ’s. Her Gujarati vegetarian cuisine is legendary and I cant wait to see if her recipes will win over a horde of hungry omnivores at hubby’s birthday BBQ next weekend.
I’m also secretly hoping to quell my dislike for vegan cheese by taste testing every variety possible and silencing my inner cheeeeeze monster once and for all. I look forward to being so overwhelmed by all the goodies I discover this weekend that I wont be able to contain myself, which means you can expect lots of honest reviews over the next few weeks as I share the best of the best. Leave your suggestions in the comments below of your favourite brands and products that I need to take a look at.
If you have a few hours to spare on Saturday 13th June why not pop along to Leeds Town Hall. If you do happen to spot a whirling dervish dressed head to toe in florals feel free to come and say hello and for goodness sake make sure I step away from the cheese.
